Distance learning has come a long way since teachers starting offering online classes. At first, you pretty much had to log in and “attend” class at an appointed time. Later, you were sent digital material which you had to read – which is the way most classes are today. This format lets you take the college classes at your own speed.
Then it started getting more interesting. Recently, teachers went to SecondLife, and now more than 300 colleges offer online courses there. Teachers are also expanding this to YouTube, and others are using the video portion of iTunes, too. Certainly, education is not what it used to be. For you, though, it means that you have a lot of options to consider when you want to get your next college degree – or even your first one. Learn more about the various types of online degrees available now.
