The University of Phoenix is the largest distance learning school in the United States today. John Sperling, who was an economist and a professor from Cambridge, started this school as a private university in 1976. Today, it has many thousands of students enrolled in its many degree programs worldwide.

The University of Phoenix now has more than 200 different campus locations where classes can be taken in a traditional setting. In addition, it offers many online courses and a distance learning degree in many different areas of study.

With its more than 20 years of offering online education, it has greater experience than other universities. It also continues to innovate its material and instructional methods to ensure that it is using available technology. To help their students, the University of Phoenix provides a wide variety of instructional materials, including computer simulations, an online library, and other helps.

The college offers courses at all degree levels – from an online Associate Degree through the Doctorate Degree level. They confer with professionals in their various degree fields to make sure that the material taught is current with the industry. In order to accomplish this, the course material is regularly updated.

Getting accepted as a student at Phoenix means that you have to have the required degrees leading up to the degree program you want to enter. In addition, you also have to be working in some kind of organizational structure so that you can apply the information provided in the classroom.

The University of Phoenix offers many degree fields. This includes the Arts and Sciences, Business and Management, Criminal Justice and Security, Education, Human Services, Nursing and Health Care, Psychology and Technology.

In order to help their students along the way, the school appoints advisers in three areas – enrollment, academic, and financial. These advisers are there to help students in these three areas – especially for those who are working on their undergraduate degree. They provide help over the phone and through emails, and may check on attendance records and anything else that indicates a student’s progress. The school calls these three different counselors a students “Graduation Team” to help them arrive at their graduation.

Online students have a greater portion of writing for their assignments, since there really is not a better way to determine and ensure learning. Online help is provided – even technical help with your computer – if it should be needed. The University of Phoenix enables students to take and complete their online courses at their own speed.
