One of the most rapid developments in our day is the constantly changing world of distance learning. The result is that the face of education is changing in a multitude of ways. In addition, it may also enable the possibility to help form the direction in distance learning technology that a particular university may take – as well as possibly helping to form new directions on a much larger scale.
Universities that are currently behind in distance learning and have not yet developed a strong online college presence could certainly benefit from an individual with a Doctorate Degree in distance learning. Potentially an individual with a degree in distance education could be in demand for some time as universities seek to make the transition to include a wider demand in this field. Getting in on the ground floor can certainly lend itself to a better career as a professor, a chairman, or even higher positions.
