Online education continues to be a rapidly developing field. This means that teachers and researchers are continuing to experiment in order to discover what will work best for both the teacher and the student. Many new methods are being tried which gives the student some flexibility in being able to choose a style of instruction that will suit them best. Generally, instruction ranges from a correspondence course type of situation, to the more modern form of using SecondLife to conduct an online classroom.
