How to use the Online Degree Zone Website

Why an online education?

Formal education is a gateway. A gateway to another career, a gateway to further your career, a gateway to improve on old skills …the list goes on. But for many the gateway was closed because a traditional way of attending class was not an option when life got in the way. Despite the dread of a person's path or career they continued to steady their course. Enter distance learning and the freedom of flexibility to learn.

What an online education can offer is freedom to learn and receive credentials that opens up those gates to wherever you wish to go.

You are not limited by a geographic location or dictated by time. You may learn where you want, when you want at whatever pace you want and at the end of the road you will receive an online degree.

How to use our site:

If you know the name of the program you want to study go to the navigation bar at the top of the home page and click on “Search Degrees.” Type in the name of the program and hit search. A listing of available schools will appear with programs in that area. Some programs have many listings; check at the bottom of the page to click on “next” to view the next page of listings.

If you are unsure of the exact program you would like to study but have an idea of the field of study you are interested in then click on one of the categories on the left hand side of the home page. The listing may give you the option to narrow down your search by clicking on one of the subcategories in your area of interest. For example, if you know you would like to study something in the area of Communication and Journalism it may offer a list of subcategories such as Radio, Television or Visual Communication to refine your search.

The “Browse Degrees” navigation button at the top the homepage allows you to view the different names of programs offered. This search is especially useful if you fail to find a program you typed into the “Search Degrees” box. The program may be offered but listed under a different program name.

If you would like to use an online education program with a campus in your geographic area then you can search programs by plugging in the search box the state in which you reside. A list of online education programs in your state will be shown.
